Our Priorities

You can help us advance our mission by supporting our priorities. Currently, our priority is to provide financial assistance for the following academic initiatives:

Programs of the National University of Singapore Overseas Colleges (NOC)
NOC is a university level unit of the NUS Enterprise Cluster. The highly innovative NOC program targets NUS undergraduates with the academic ability and entrepreneurial drive, keen to be immersed as interns in start-ups located in leading business and academic hubs of the world. At the same time, they will study entrepreneurship-related courses at highly prestigious partner universities. The aim is to cultivate and nurture them into enterprising, resourceful, independent self-starters so they can eventually blossom into successful entrepreneurs.

Two of the five overseas colleges are in the US.

The NOC in Bio Valley, located in Philadelphia, started in June 2002. It is designed for students to take advantage of the unique opportunities within Central and Greater Philadelphia, especially in biotech and biomedical areas. The region is also home to some of the nation's most prominent medical research facilities including the University of Pennsylvania, where students take entrepreneurship-related and discipline-based courses.

The NOC in Silicon Valley is based in the business region in California best known for its concentration of high technology start-ups. Started in July 2001, the College allows NUS students to experience living and working amongst the high-technology communities of the world-renowned Silicon Valley.

University Scholars Programme (USP) at the National University of Singapore

The University Scholars Programme is a premier undergraduate course that offers promising students at NUS the freedom to explore across disciplines, a wide range of extracurricular activities and overseas opportunities – such as an academic summer program at Yale University, a dialogue program at George Washington University, an exclusive exchange program at University of Oregon and an exchange conference and laboratory research program at Harvard University.
