Our Donors

We thank all of the institutional and private donors who have made philanthropic contributions to the Foundation. It is through their confidence and generosity that we are able to carry out our mission of supporting various academic research and educational programs in our community and globally.

We recognize every gift we receive and respect the wishes of donors who prefer to remain anonymous.

Here is a selected listing of some of our recent donors:

In July 2008 a gift of $14,000 from the Sajjad Foundation in support of the Summer Program for Economic and Enterprise Development at the NUS Entrepreneurship Center. The program specifically gives Pakistani students an excellent first-hand opportunity to learn more about Singapore and how it has progressed from a small trading port into a modern city-state. 

Frank and Daisy Jen generously donated $50,000 in January 2008 to support the Seybold Jen and Suean Lin Scholarship Fund at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS.

NUSAF was pleased to receive a gift of $61,340 in October 2007 from third year consecutive donors MeiLi and Robert A. Hefner III. Their gift will continue to support students from China at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy pursuing their Master’s in Public Administration.

The Sajjad Foundation, a US-based organization, made a US$32,500 gift in March 2007 aimed at providing financial assistance for Pakistani students in NUS.

In November 2006, the NUS America Foundation received a US$125,000 gift that benefited the NUS School of Computing.

MeiLi and Robert A Hefner III made another generous contribution of US$55,100 in October 2006 to support two Master in Public Administration students at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

A US$35,000 gift was received by the NUS America Foundation in August 2006. The gift was used to support the advancement of studies and training in neurosurgery at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

A US$25,000 gift was received in September 2005 to help fund a research project at the NUS Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.

Entrepreneur and philanthropist Robert A Hefner III , together with his wife MeiLi, made a US$73,000 gift in June 2005 to support two students pursuing the Master in Public Policy program at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
