Mr LAM Nim Cho is currently Vice-President of Product Engineering of PhaseLink Corp. in Fremont, California, USA. He is a 30-year veteran of the Semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley. He graduated in 1977 from National University of Singapore with First Class Honour Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Subsequently he obtained MBA degree from University of Santa Clara and MSEE degree from San Jose Sate University, both in California.

Nim Cho’s career encompasses many segments of Integrated Circuit Industry. He spent his first 14 years in GigaHertz Integrated Circuits in Fairchild Semiconductor and National Semiconductor. During these years, he gained experience in product engineering, test engineering, design engineering, application engineering, packaging engineering and business unit management for High Frequency Integrated Circuits.

He had also served in various engineering Director and Vice-President positions for well known Silicon Valley companies including LSI Logic Corp, QuickLogic Corp, UMC-USA, Faraday Technology-USA and NanoNexus Inc. Segments of Integrated Industry he had covered include Mixed Signal, RF ASIC, FPGA, Foundry, Intellectual Property, Fabless Semiconductor and MEMS. He had delivered top level technical leadership in Design, Application, Product Engineering and Reliability Engineering.

Nim Cho holds 10 US Patents in Integrated Circuit Design and Design Automation area. He also has published a paper in High Speed Multiplier design.
